Man, 39, shot and killed in Georges Township home; no charges yet.

A 39-year-old Georges Township man died after being shot inside his home Sunday afternoon, and no one has been charged, the Observer-Reporter and Herald-Standard reported.

Pennsylvania State Police troopers were called to a reported domestic incident on Walnut Hill Road around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18. They found Shaun Davis with a gunshot wound.

Davis died while being taken to WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital. The Fayette County coroner listed the manner of death as homicide.

Fayette County District Attorney Michael Aubele said Monday that no charges are pending while the investigation continues. Everyone who was inside the house, including several children, gave statements to police and was released without charges, Aubele said.

Police said there was no further threat to the public.

Georges Township is in southern Fayette County, Pa., south of Uniontown and about 30 miles north of Garrett County via U.S. 219 and Route 40.
