Pennsylvania State Police are once again offering a reward for information in the disappearance of Fawn Marie Mountain, a Claysburg woman who has not been seen since November 2012.

Troopers at the Hollidaysburg barracks renewed a $5,000 reward this week for information that helps solve the case, WTAJ and WJAC reported. Mountain, who also went by Fawn Marie and "Bambi," was 25 when she was last seen at her home on Binks Mill Court in Claysburg, in Blair County's Greenfield Township near the Bedford County line. She would now be 39.

Mountain is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and about 105 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She has a large tattoo on her back of an angel with wings and the words "RIP Kaydin," according to state police. The Charley Project, a missing persons database, also lists a tattoo of the name "Braydin" on her neck and piercings in her ears and lip, and says she may dye her hair black or auburn.

The night she vanished At the time, Mountain lived in a trailer on Binks Mill Court that she shared with her girlfriend, Heather Dibert, according to the Charley Project's summary of news coverage. A few days after Thanksgiving 2012, the two helped clean Dibert's parents' butcher shop and then returned home with Dibert's brother and his girlfriend. That was the last time the brother's girlfriend saw Mountain.

Dibert later said she woke around 3 a.m. and Mountain was gone. Mountain left behind her clothes and an urn holding the ashes of her stillborn child, which she normally carried with her, the Charley Project reports. The database lists her as missing since Nov. 20, 2012, while its account of the disappearance puts the last sighting around Nov. 25, 2012.

Not reported missing until 2015 Mountain's disappearance went unreported for more than two years. She had been estranged from her mother, and in 2011 she obtained a protection order against her, so her family's lack of contact did not raise alarms at first.

In April 2015, a family friend went to the trailer at the family's request. Dibert told the friend that Mountain had "took off" three years earlier, according to the Charley Project. The family then reported Mountain missing.

Mountain's mother has described Dibert as "controlling and abusive," and the family believes Dibert was the reason Mountain cut off contact with them, the Charley Project reports. About a week after Mountain disappeared, Dibert's family remodeled the trailer and tore up its flooring, and Dibert moved to Ohio. She later gave people conflicting accounts of where Mountain was, including that she was in prison in Ohio or living in New York.

Court records show trouble in the relationship months before the disappearance. In March 2012, police responded to the Claysburg trailer park and found Dibert shouting at them, according to a criminal complaint reviewed by WJAC. Mountain told officers that Dibert had been "abusive" and that she "just wants to leave," but Dibert would not let her go. Police told Mountain not to return to Dibert's residence. Dibert pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in that case.

Years of investigation State police have kept the case open for more than a decade. In 2021, troopers said they had identified a person of interest and that the investigation was ongoing, WJAC reported; police have not publicly named that person. In January 2025, state police offered a $10,000 reward in the case. No one has been charged in Mountain's disappearance.

Dibert convicted in 2025 arson-for-hire plot Dibert, now 45 and formerly of Duncansville, was arrested in December 2023 in an unrelated case. Police said she offered a Lewistown man, Zachary Sellers, money and drugs to burn down a home on Tulls Hill Road in Napier Township, Bedford County, where her estranged wife was staying with family. Sellers told investigators that Dibert showed him the house and said, "Kill them all," WJAC reported at the time.

On Oct. 28, 2023, a Molotov cocktail was thrown onto the home's front porch and started a fire while people, including children, were inside. Police said the messages began after Dibert was charged earlier that month with threatening to kill her wife's father, and that she drove to West Virginia to set up an alibi.

A Bedford County jury convicted Dibert in September 2025 after a four-day trial, finding her guilty of most of the charges, including criminal solicitation of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit aggravated arson, the Altoona Mirror reported. In December 2025, President Judge Travis W. Livengood sentenced her to 177 to 480 months, or about 14 3/4 to 40 years, in state prison. The judge called her one of the more manipulative people he had seen in his courtroom, according to the Mirror. Sellers was sentenced to two to five years, and a third defendant, Jamie Beers, pleaded guilty to a related charge and received two to five years.

State police have not publicly connected Dibert to Mountain's disappearance, and she has not been charged in the case.
