CUMBERLAND, Md. — The Cumberland Police Department reported two separate arrests on October 12, 2026, involving a destruction-of-property investigation and two probation violation warrants.

Justin Michael Souders Charged in Property Damage Case

According to a police press release dated October 13, officers served an arrest warrant on Justin Michael Souders, 23, of Cumberland, following an investigation into damage to a handicap ramp at a residence on Arch Street.

Police said the victim reported damage estimated at more than $1,000. Investigators obtained video surveillance of the incident and reviewed body-worn camera footage from officers to identify Souders as the suspect.

Souders was arrested and transported to Central Booking. He was later presented before a District Court Commissioner and held on a $2,000 bond.

He is charged with destruction of property valued at $1,000 or more.

Joshua Levi Walker Arrested on Two Probation Warrants

In a separate incident on October 12, police served two bench warrants on Joshua Levi Walker, 39, of Cumberland.

According to the department, the warrants were issued after Walker allegedly failed to comply with court orders related to two original charges: CDS equipment possession and having a handgun in a vehicle.

Walker was arrested and transported to Central Booking, where he was reported to be awaiting a bond review.

He faces two counts of violation of probation.

The cases are separate incidents, and the charges and allegations have not been adjudicated in court.
