A 36-year-old Grantsville man was charged with possession of methamphetamine after deputies arrested him on a bench warrant on Oct. 15, the Garrett County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies arrested Tyler James Masters on the strength of a Circuit Court bench warrant for bond revocation, according to a release from Sheriff Bryson Meyers. When deputies searched Masters, they found a quantity of methamphetamine, and he was then charged with possession of methamphetamine, the Sheriff's Office said.

Masters was taken to the Garrett County Detention Center and was later released on his own recognizance, according to the release.

The Sheriff's Office also said that on Oct. 3, Masters was served with a criminal summons charging him with theft in connection with a September incident along Corporate Drive in Grantsville.

Charges are accusations. Every person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
