Mountain Lake Park man charged with assault at Garrett Regional Medical Center

A 34-year-old Mountain Lake Park man was charged with first- and second-degree assault after deputies responded to an assault at Garrett Regional Medical Center on Oct. 11, the Garrett County Sheriff's Office said. An arrest is not a finding of guilt.

A 34-year-old Mountain Lake Park man was charged with first- and second-degree assault after deputies responded to an assault at Garrett Regional Medical Center on Oct. 11, the Garrett County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies were called to the hospital around 11:30 p.m., according to a release from Sheriff Bryson Meyers. As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Shane Matthew Davis and charged him with first-degree assault and second-degree assault, the Sheriff's Office said.

Davis was taken to the Garrett County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond, according to the release.

Charges are allegations. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
